Business with a Green Purpose

Provision Technologies, Inc.
Marco Mangelsdorf, President, and
Douglas Bath, Vice President

"There are a lot of roofs out there. We're trying to make the world better, one roof at a time."

Back in the 1970s, when they were California teens, Marco Mangelsdorf and Douglas Bath started their careers in solar energy: mainly off-grid, "eco-groovy" systems. They went separate ways, but both continued to work in solar. Four years ago, they got back together to run Hilo-based ProVision Technologies, a photovoltaic solar company that works with grid-connected businesses and homes.

"Photovoltaic technology represents a viable and doable technology. It's not pie-in-the-sky, it's not 10 years from now, it's something we can do right now," Bath says.
